GB Contract Services have substantial experience as main contractor under formal JCT Design and Build contracts.

Design and build projects tend to vary depending on the extent of the contractor’s design responsibility and how much information is available during the Tender stage and if the Client has produced any initial designs or any employers requirements.

However, the level of design responsibility and input from the contractor is much greater on design and build projects than a traditional contract.

We welcome the increased level of responsibility and the opportunity to help employers realise their brief by bringing our vast experience to the design stage. We also have professional indemnity insurance cover for the design and build work that we carry out.

Our design teams normally comprise of vetted consultants who we have worked with on previous projects and pass our PQQ, these are overseen by a company director.

Regular design meetings are held in person and remotely using an online platform to meet the Clients needs, this helps to maintain an accurate flow of information.

For our Healthcare D&B work we have experience of designing to current HTM, HBN and building regulation standards.
