  • Demolition of walling to create a larger clinic room
  • New ventilation to all bedrooms and en-suites
  • New small power in nurses station
  • New anti-ligature lighting throughout ward
  • New whiterock impact cladding installed in all bedrooms and en-suites
  • New kitchen installed
  • New anti-ligature fire doors installed throughout ward
  • New vinyl cove and cap flooring
  • New IPS units and sanitaryware installed in all en-suites
  • New access control installed on all bedrooms and cross corridor doors
  • Construction of new anti-ligature wardrobes

GB Contract Services were successful in tendering for the design and build of the refurbishment of the PICU unit Christopher Ward.
Working with our existing supply chain and the nominated Trust suppliers GB Contract Services produced design drawings compliant to HBNs/HTMs and building regulations, we also paid close attention to anti-ligature in this project due to it being a mental health unit.
